Malignant types (HPV16, 18, 33, 52b and 58) types are amplified using the HPVpU-1M/HPVpU-2R primer pair; benign tpes (HPV6 and 11) types are amplified using the HPVpU-31B/HPVpU-2R primer pair. Digestion of PCR products by restriction enzymes AccI, AfaI, AvaI, AvaII, and BglII (available as Enzyme Set A, Cat. # 6604) followed by agarose gel electrophoresisidentifies the resident HPV types. This PCR HPV Typing Set is optimized for use with TaKaRa TaqDNA Polymerase, which can be purchased separately.
