It includes the high-yield and high-fidelity Advantage 2 enzyme blend plus a proprietary GC-Melt Reagent and a reaction buffer containing DMSO—two additives proven to enable the amplification of templates with up to 90% GC content with minimal buffer optimization. The combination of DMSO and GC-Melt Reagent allow the amplification of virtually all GC-rich sequences that are resistant to PCR amplification by standard techniques.
